In the 13th century the village was owned by the Beleznay family. The local church was said to have been destroyed around 1560. In 1715 there were only six households in the settlement. The present church was built in 1899. The economic development of the village started in the 1950s. The predominantly agricultural village has several private entrepreneurs and enterprises. The level of infrastructure is fairly high.
